Shady Baby Parasols

ShadyBaby was created my parents Heather Leslie and Brian Winterling who discovered, while traveling across the world, that the most high end buggies outside the U.S. had parasols. Upon their return., they noticed they were surrounded by families pushing strollers with all sorts of insufficient sun protection: blankets draped off of the small built-in shades, umbrellas that were poorly constructed and just plain boring, or worse yet, nothing at all! So they decided to create a parasol of their own. Inspired by world tradition, contemporary style and modern manufacturing techniques, ShadyBaby was born. Now their own Shady Baby, Amelia, rides in safety and style using her parents' parasol creation!

ShadyBaby parasols are a stylish, sturdy way to protect babies from the harmful effects of the sun. The colors and patterns are bold and vibrant. The parasol provides UV protection SPF 50+ and is easily adjustable in three places. The clip on attachment is virtually universal - it fits on frames larger that 5/8" and less than 1 1/4" (keeping in mind that most strollers with big frames also have other areas with smaller tubing). The clamp has a quick adjust button allowing you to swivel 180 degrees. There are also two flex points (top and bottom) to adjust the angle of the parasol. Right below the quick adjust button is a "quick release" button, allowing you to leave the clamp attached while removing the rest of the parasol.

We were thrilled when parent creator and owner Brian Winterling reached out to StrollerMama! We have long been searching for a universal parasol for our parents to use on our many strollers and haven't found one until now. Not only is the ShadyBaby functional, but also could not be more fun and stylish! It is perfect for little babies as well as for toddlers that are too tall for the canopies on their strollers but still need sun protection. We tried it on the Valco toddler seat it is was perfect, providing a shade for a seat with no sun canopy. We love supporting other parent-owned businesses and we are happy to be carrying the new ShadyBaby!
