BuckleyBoo is a growing collection of stuffed toys co-created by a child psychologist and grandma! BuckleyBoos encourage cognitive development through multi-stage learning. What this means is that from the ages of fifteen months to four years your child will embark on a developmental journey where each mastered task serves as a springboard for the next level of learning.

Stage 1: Matching
Children first learn to scan and match the five brightly patterned ribbons- polka dot to polka dot, stripe to stripe.
Stage 2: Buckling
At eighteen months, children are ready to buckle, but they cannot unbuckle themselves. This makes BuckleyBoo, for a time, a toy to be shared between parent and child. At this stage, the child will likely leave all the other buckles in their environment alone now that they have found five of their own buckles to play with.
Stage 3: Unbuckling
At three years, children have both the physical strength and the problem solving skills to buckle and unbuckle and they will happily do to keep themselves occupied. Children will also begin to integrate their lovable pal into their world of imaginative play.

BuckleyBoo won the StrollerMama seal of approval when my twenty month old daughter wouldn't stop walking around the house with her "Bucky Cat" saying "Mommy, buckles, buckles!" My youngest one would stand by her high chair for twenty minutes at a time playing with the seat belt buckle. Then I showed her BuckleyBoo and she just sat down and played. She is too little to actually unbuckle the buckles but she loves to fit the pieces together. She hugs her BuckleyCat and even gives her a ride in her doll stroller!
