We have heard that the added sides can sometimes make it a bit trickier to get your child in the seat but we are happy with the added safety features Boulevard offers. It is also a larger car seat so if space in the rear is tight, it may not be the best fit for your vehicle. If so, the Britax Diplomat might be a better choice for smaller cars. The Britax Boulevard 70 is a full service and full size car seat. It offers True Side Impact Protection. The seat has deep wings on the sides that provide TSIP as well as giving the child a comfortable place to rest their head. Unlike some of the other models, there is an adjustable knob that controls the straps so you don't need to uninstall the car seat and rethread the straps to adjust the height. The Britax Boulevard is a convertible car seat that works rear-facing from 5-40 lbs. and then works forward-facing up to 70 lbs. It is recommended that the child be at least one year old AND 20 lbs. before switching the car seat to the forward facing position. In terms of safety, the Boulevard 70 has Britax's best features.
