Little Taggies - The Colour Collection

Little Taggies - The Colour Collection

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am the ultimate fan of Taggies.  I started used them nine years ago with my first child and my now almost seven year old son and almost four year old daughter still do not sleep without theirs.

Taggies have been imitated over the years but the original Little Taggie blanket is still the ultimate best seller and perfect baby gift in my book.  A simple 12 x 12 fleece square is the perfect size for holding and rubbing and giving comfort for sleeping. Parents know that most kids are more interested in tags on things than the things themselves which is why Taggies were invented.  With different colored and patterned tags lining the blanket, it keeps babies interested and then can become a comfort item for years to come.  We have the original pastel patterns and the new brighter colors for Little Taggies in the Colour Collection.  The Little Taggies are the perfect baby gift – completely kid tested in our house and going strong for almost seven years now!

Bugaboo Footmuffs

Bugaboo Footmuffs

Here is Cleveland, fall has arrived!  Just last week we were sweating with 80 degree temps and today it was a bone chilling, rainy 55 degrees.  Yuck!  So, besides pulling out the winter coat and the Uggs, it also means it is time to pull out the footmuffs and other accessories to keep your little ones warm in their strollers.  A favorite of ours is the Bugaboo Footmuff.  Lined with a soft microfleece, it works with any of the Bugaboo strollers (Cameleon, Frog or Bee) and it even works with some other brands.  The top unzips for easy access and quick changes in the weather.

Another great choice for keeping your kids cozy on cool fall days is the UPPAbaby Baby Ganoosh.  The inside is a soft curly plush lining and the outside is made of Polartec Windbloc material to keep the elements off.  It fits perfectly in the UPPAbaby Vista and may also work with other brands.  If you have questions about compatibility, just give us a call.

Another good choice for cool weather is the BOB Warm Fuzzy.  Designed to fit right in the BOB single and duallie Revolution seats, the Warm Fuzzy is made of a thick fleece material that adds warmth and comfort to your child’s ride.  Since the BOB seats aren’t the most padded in the first place, it not only keeps kid warms, but it also makes their ride more comfortable.  So, get out there with your little ones -take a walk with them cozy in their strollers and watch the leaves change together.  Fall is a beuatiful thing!

The Bugaboo double stroller finally arrives! Meet the Bugaboo Donkey!

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

Well, you all have been waiting for years and years for it and it is almost here.  I cannot tell you how many calls and emails we have gotten over the the years saying “When is Bugaboo coming out with a double stroller?”  The folks at Bugaboo took their time and it looks like they did it right.  Yesterday at the Kind + Jugend trade show in Cologne, Bugaboo introduced their new double stroller: the Bugaboo Donkey.

The new Bugaboo Donkey, which should be arriving in the U.S. in Spring 2011, is an amazing mono-to-duo stroller.  That means it converts from a single stroller with a small parcel basket to a full feature, reversible seat double stroller.  We’ve heard that the two seats can face parents, face the world or face each other.  We’ve also heard that the seat frame can also convert into the bassinet (similar to the Cameleon) and the stroller should be able to accommodate one or two infant seats.

In the Mono/Single mode, the width of the stroller is 23″.  The seat is similar to the seat on the Cameleon but it is a bit narrower.  The stroller looks wider than the Cameleon but it actually is not- it just has a seat that is a little narrower along with the parcel basket (which is great for a diaper bag or your little one’s toys).  The seat itself functions like the Cameleon seat as it is reversible and reclinable.  We’ve also heard that you can fold it with the seat on and that is stands when it is folded.  The seat has a weight limit of 37.5 lbs. which is similar to the Bugaboo Bee.

The most exciting part of the stroller is how it transitions into Duo/Double mode.  When you are ready to use the Donkey as a double stroller, you just unclick the frame and it expands telescopically.  The frame expands horizontally and the seat second takes the place of the parcel basket.  With the two seats on the frame, they can be configured and reclined independently.   The Donkey can also be folded in doubles mode with the seats on and will also stand on its own.  The width of the Donkey in Duo mode is 29″ so it will be no problem getting through a standard doorway.

Bugaboo DonkeyThe Bugaboo Donkey will be making its U.S.  debut at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas in October and we will be there to see it.  From the pictures and videos we’ve seen the Donkey looks amazing.  The design is gorgeous and simply brilliant.  The designers and the engineers truly found a completely unique way to make a Bugaboo that works for one or two children.  It is perfect for families to use with one child and will be expanding their families.  The Donkey is truly an amazing stroller.  We know you all have been waiting for it.  If you want to be on a list for preorders, email us at info@strollermama.com so we can keep you posted!

Twins in their Baby Jogger City Mini Double

Austin and Olivia in their Baby Jogger City Mini Double

That was the quote from the email we got from one of our favorite customers the other day.  After debating which double stroller would be best for their twins, they decided on the Baby Jogger City Mini Double before the babies were born and they just let us know that they made the best choice!  Great for newborns with a flat recline, the Baby Jogger City Mini Double is perfect right from birth.  Plus, it is lightweight at just 23 lbs to make lifting easier for moms who are eager to get out walking with their new babies!

Little twins Austin and Olivia, just six weeks, have been out on lovely walks together with their parents in their BJCMD!  We love seeing our StrollerMama families using their strollers.  Please send us pictures of your children riding in their StrollerMama strollers so we can post them on our blog!
