The Buzz on the Bugaboo Bee

The world has been waiting for a new release from Bugaboo and it is finally here.  Today we saw the debut of the Bugaboo Bee at the JPMA show.  Bugaboo is using words like “nimble” and “compact” to describe the new stroller and it is!  We weren’t sure what to expect at first- it was unusual looking- nothing else like it on the market and we wondered how it would perform.  But, after a full demonstration, we were overly impressed and are eagerly awaiting its arrival in September.

The Bee will sell for $529.00 and comes with a black seat and a choice of five canopy colors: yellow, blue, red, black and dark khaki.  It is the most compact Bugaboo stroller and is a complete infant to toddler travel system.  It takes some of the most impressive features of the other Bugaboos and puts them in a more compact and lightweight stroller.  We loved the fact that it was lightweight and still had a reversible seat and a huge height-adjustable handlebar.  The performance that Bugaboo is known for is still there- all four six inch foam filled wheels have independent suspension and it really steered beautifully pushing with one hand.

It has a four position recline and also can take Graco, Peg and the new to the U.S. (coming in June!) Maxi Cosi infant seats.  ***Edited on April 15. 2008 – The only infant seat adapters that are now available for the Bee are for the Graco infant seats- the Peg and Maxi Cosi adapter bars were not released due to safety testing issues.***  It also had some great coordinating accessories: an adorable baby nest which is perfect for a tiny baby to be all snuggled up in, footmuffs, parasols, sunshades and an all silver breezy sun canopy.

This is supposed to be the Bugaboo to throw in the car, carry on the subway or throw in a taxi.  It is light and easy but with the quality Bugaboo is known for.   The fold is easy and compact and a true one part fold versus the two part fold of the Cameleon and Frog.   We left the Bugaboo booth all excited about the new Bee.  We saw tons of people looking and pointing as they walked by and we think it is going to make a huge splash on the market this fall.  It literally created the “buzz” Bugaboo was going for with their debut.  We already have them on order and have been told they should be in our store by September 1st.  Check back as we get closer to the release date for preordering details as we hope to have them available for preordering this summer. We think you are going to love the Bee!

    Hi again !
    Thanks already for your answers.
Regarding the “pod”, I was referring to the rolling/”wheeled” thingy that you can attach to the stroller and enables you to push both the young and the eldest (but he stands up). Do you see what I mean ? Sorry I miss this word of vocab’, but english is not my mothertongue !

Meanwhile, I met a lady who complained about the metallic bar that you can feel in the seat of the Bee (I checked, it’s true, you can feel..the seat is extremely firm). Are we projecting our idea of confort or is the Bee not confortable ?

Last question : do you think the babynest can be used without the baby being attached if the canopy is fully open ? I feel it’s a little heartbreaking to tie such a little person so young !

    Thanks again. Magali

I found this link for the Maxi-Cosi Mico adaptor for the Bugaboo Bee. Has anyone else seen this? Do you think it is no good?

Hi Kelly Anne-  Thanks for your post.  I checked your link for the Bee adapter and it is not actually a link to a store- just a search directory.  I actually linked to a store and that item is not available which is no surprise because no such item exists here in the U.S.!  There is not an adapter bar for the Maxi Cosi Mico available for the Bugaboo Bee. Hope that helps- Erika

I am really comtemplating buying a Bugaboo Bee for my second child who is due in March.
I would intend to buy the Bee with the nest, which i’ll end up selling when its outgrown, and change to a footmuff.
Please can you tell me if the rain cover fits over both the footmuff and the nest when they are attached with baby in?
Also is there any news about the Bugaboo wheeled board yet, as it seems to have been in the planning stages for well over a year?
    thanks, Jane

    Hi Jane-

I just got off the phone with Bugaboo and they said they were anticipating the new wheeled board at the end of this year but that has since changed to a later date next year.  She did not give me specifics as to any other developments!  To answer your other question, yes, the raincover will fit over both the footmuff and the nest.  Your child can stay both warm and dry!  The Bee is a great lightweight but full service stroller, I highly recommend it!

I’ve been using the Bee since birth with my now 6-month old son. Now that he’s getting ‘busier’, I’m wondering if anyone has found any attachable tray that can be used with the Bee? All of the ones I’ve seen online seem to require one of those safety bars on the front to attach to.

  5. Administrator says:

Hi Kerry- Thanks for your post. Unfortunately, we haven’t found a tray that attaches to our stroller that doesn’t have a bumper bar. We keep looking and hope someday someone will invent one! Thanks- Erika

    Hi,
I own a bugaboo bee and though my (big) 15 month old daughter is the “official user”, I have her (petite) 4 1/5 year old sister getting rather frequent rides on it… ;)

My question is about the harness. With winter (and jumpers and jackets), I’ve realized that we can’t really make the 2 ends meet to attach the girls (fine for the big one since she wont throw herself out, but harder when it’s the little one on it).
We have opted for only attaching one side and loosing the harness if she falls asleep, but it’s really frustrating to think that with 1 inch more of strap we wouldnt have this problem!!

Now, searching for reviews on this, I came accross your blog (again, I had seen it when we were choosing the stroller) and though I would give it a try here since I literally cant find any review mentioning this problem .
    Any ideas???

Regarding the wheeled board, I actually found one that fits to the stroller and it’s the one that I used for the first year or so… so far, no problems apart from the inconvenience of having to remove it every time I wanted to fold the stroller — but for long walks, it was perfect.

Thanks a lot for your help.. and congratulations on your blog!!!!!

    Hi C-

Thank you for you kind words on our blog!  The harness is a bit snug during the winter times.  I do not believe Bugaboo has come out with extender straps but you may want to contact them with any thoughts they might have!  It is a bit of a narrower seat and I am suprised your 4 year old still fits in it!!

    Hi there,

    this blog is really helpfull.
I am due in late April and interested in the Bee. However, since I live in a very hot country (Greece) I am wondering whether the Baby Nest will be too warm for the infant.
If so, is the Bee a bad choice? Should I look for a different stroller?

    Hi Evita-

The Bee is a good choice.  I am not sure how hot the temperature is there in Greece but the Bee Nest is fleece so it is rather warm and cozy.  I would not base buying your stroller soley on the Bee Nest.  You can also use a bundle me or blankets.  Hope this information helps.  We really think the Bee is a great product!

I understand you can’t get the adapters for the Peg seat for the bee but is it possible to put the capsule on top of the bee seat when fully reclined???

    Hi Jane-

I do not believe you can because there is nothing to secure it in.  We personally do not sell Peg but I am assuming the Bee frame is not wide enough.

I am interested in the Bee and like that the seat can be both forward and rear facing – however on teh demo video it looks like you have to remove the seat to adjust facing orientation. So if my child falls asleep forward facing I cannot then turn it around – whereas the frog the handle can swtich position to allow this. Am I correct or is there a way to change facing orientation with a child in the seat? Thanks for all thsi great information!

    Hi Andrea-

Yes you are correct, with the Bee you have to physically remove the seat and would be difficult if the child was in it.  The Frog handlebar can move from front to back and also the seat can be removed to be forward or rear facing.

I am having the same problem as Al above. My bee was always stiff and now to fold and unfold the smaller seat part I need to use a butter knife to open it because one side is stuck on the plastic while the other fits in the proper groove. The stroller has always seemed misaligned but when I had it looked at the store said it was stiff. I hope to take it back next week but wanted to let everyone know the problems I have had. The arms are also hard to move like Al’s and fold and reversing the seats is very difficult. I am disappointed in the quality of the bee.

    Hi Sarah-

I am sorry that you have having difficulties with your Bee.  Both of the owners actaully use the Bee and love it.  You may want to contact Bugaboo directly to troubleshoot the problem.  The ones I have seen have not been difficult to use.  You should be getting the most for your money with this stroller. Good luck!

    Hello Erica,

    GREAT BLOG!
I’m looking to purchase a light weight stroller. Mostly for in and out of shops and fair bit of traveling.I’m debating between Bugaboo Bee or Maclaren Quest. From reading some reviews, I am worried that my average size 10 months old will outgrow the Bee. How does the Bee fit average 2-3 year old?
    Thank you for your response.

    Hi Sasha-

The Bee is a great lightweight stroller that can certainly fit a 2-3 year old.  However if you are looking for something a bit more roomier than you may like the Quest better.  It has a slighlty larger seat and can hold about 10 more pounds than the Bee.  The Bee is great though because of it’s one step fold and the ability to have a forward or rear facing seat.  Good luck!

I noticed you have mentioned a one step fold quite a few times in this blog, but ever time i have had a bee demo in a shop or watched a video there has been mulitple steps required to fold the pushchair- have i missed something :s

    Hi Jenny-

We do consider it a one step fold but there are a few other things you need to do first.  You always want to put the brake on so the stroller does not get away from you.  If the handlebar is at the highest point you may want to adjust it to the lowest just to make it more compact.  You then press two buttons on the side and collapse the stroller down.  Once you get the hang of it..it is a breeze!

    1. the nest has straps to strap a newborn in – like is shown on the foot muff and whether this is comfortable
    2. If i can get away with using a footmuff for a new born – i notice you do recommend the nest quie strongly.

    thanks gab

    Hi Gab-

The nest works great for an infant.  It does have an opening in the back that allows you to strap the baby in. You could use a footmuff but if you use that I would recommend getting something for head support.  That is the benfit of the nest because there is a built in head hugger.  Another great thing about the Bee is that it can take a Graco car seat.

There is so much great information here – very useful. I am very close to buying the Bee as we need a narrow pram to fit through our stairwell (630mm max) but also want the feature of the baby facing me. My only concern is whether it can handle grass and dirt tracks? One of my main haunts will be the local park as I will need to take our dog for walks – would I be better to forgo the facing-mum capacity in favour of a pram built for an outdoor lifestyle? Your advice much appreciated!

    Hi Angie-

The Bee works great as a lightweight stroller that has the ability to be forward or rear facing.  Part of the reason that it is super light is because of the wheels.  It will be able to handle the outdoors but nothing works better outside than an air filled tire.  If you are mainly going to be using your stroller outside, the parks, etc. you may want to reconsider and look at a jogger type of something with bigger wheels.

    hi

love your website. So informative. I just purchased a Bugaboo Bee and seem to be have some problems with the seat. It is very stiff and takes two hands to pull it out after folding. There is also a loud noise almost like the plastic is snapping. Will this loosen up with use? Or is my Bee defective?

    Hi Evie-

The Bee sometimes may seem a little stiff at first but should ease up with more use.  The bottom of the seat does sometimes make a noise that sounds like the plastic is snapping but that is normal.  Hopefully your Bee is not defective but if you want more assistance in troubleshooting the problem you can always give their customer service a call at 1.800.460.2922. they are a great deal of help over there!

    Hi Farooq-

Bugaboo may be in the works for a new Bee model but I would not count on it being done anytime this year.  They seem to always be up to new things but it sometimes takes years.  If you are expecting soon I would plan on getting it now!  You do not want to be stuck with nothing!

I,m so excited to have found this site..it is so informative…I bought my Bee about 1 1/2 years ago for my son whom is now two. My only issue with it is that my son, is not comfortable because of the wings on the side. I have thought of cutting them out as I have read that someone else has done, but decided not to for resale value.I was wondering if you think the footmuff might help keep the wings out a little. With the footmuff do you put it over the original seat cover or do you take it off..please help I love my bee and my son is not that big…29 pounds thanks michele

    Hi Michele-

In all honesty I do not think the footmuff would be that helpful.  You do put the footmuff over the original seat and it just gives it extra padding.  I have not heard of cutting off the side wings but maybe (and this sounds super weird) but you can tape them down? Sorry I do not have a better solution!  But let us know if you come up with anything better!

    Hi,

Do you know if the Bee adapter is compatible with the new Graco car seat (Snugride 32)?
    http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3330193

I know the adapter can work with the old snugride (carries up to 33lbs) and safeseat (30lbs), but the new snugride carseat can now accommodate up to 32lbs. I want to get this carseat but if it won’t fit in the adapter, i may have to consider the safeseat.

    Thanks!

    Hi Pearly-

I just got off the phone with a customer service representative at Bugaboo and he said that the Graco adapter bar will fit the Graco 32 car seat.  I believe it is meant to be compatible with all Graco models!

Amazing that this thread is still going and you respond to every post. Kudos to you – it’s a lot of hard work. Here’s my question: when you fold the Bee, it doesn’t lock into the folded position, so if I were to hang it from a hook, it would unfold, correct? Would a velcro strap be strong enough to keep the stroller together? And no word if there’s working on a new model that will address this issue? Also, is the Bee the lightest, most compact forward and rear facing stroller on the market? Thank you for addressing this!

    Niff

    Hi Niff-

Thanks for your response!  We try the best we can to keep up with the blog and responses.  When you fold the Bee there is not an actual lock but for the most part it stays compact and does not open unless you step on the brake and pull up on the handlebar to undo it.  I am assuming you could make your own by velcroing the sides and handlebar together.  I know some people do that with the BOB stroller (also does not have a lock).  There is nothing that I know of in the works for a new model of the Bee.

The Bee is one if not the lightest forward and rear facing seats on the market.   We really love it and how it functions!

Great blog! Thanks for all the info on the Bee.

I read on another site that the seat on the Bee is only 11.4 inches across. Is this true? If so it’s barely wider than my son’s SnugRide car seat so I don’t think he would get much use out of the Bee. Does the width of the seat vary along the back?

Also, he likes to rest his head against the side of the car seat to sleep. It doesn’t seem like there is anywhere to rest his head to the side on the Bee. Have you heard of any problems with this? How is the Bee for sleeping?

I love the look of the Bee but I don’t want to sacrifice my son’s comfort for my own vanity!!

    Thanks!!

    Hi Jen-

Thanks for your kind words about our blog!  The Bee does have a more narrow seat than some other strollers but it measures about 20 inches across.   Your child can rest their head easily along the sides and be totally comfortable.  Bugaboo is known for their nice fabrics and comfortable seats so sleeping is a breeze!

    Hi Kate-

As far as we know Bugaboo has no plans to make a universal board.  The frame on the Bee is slightly different than the Cameleon so the way a ride on board would attach would be different.  You may want to check in with Bugaboo to see is they are making a Bee specific one!

I bought the Bugaboo Bee in July last year and have been using it since my baby was born in October. Overall, a very easy stroller to use and as advertized, it’s extremely light! The only letdown is that I also bought the matching Bugaboo Takata car seat (adapters were supposed to be issued before the end of 2008) and I’m still waiting for the adapter. Pity as the stroller was perfect except for the adapter issue.

The main difference between the 2007 and 2008 Bee models is that the size of the wings got thinner.  No new changes have been announced for 2009!

I recently returned 3 Bee’s and then tested 3 more Bee’s in store. For the most part they were a big disapointment and had recurring problems. I want others to be aware before wasting their time on this stroller. I only saw a few reviews with the same problems when I was looking and thought it might be rare, but after testing 6 of these I know these problems are more common. I went through 2 different retailers. Not one of the 6 Bee’s was problem free and suitable for purchase. The recurring issues were: 1. Some had a bumpy ride and the wheels felt like they had a hiccup and not a smooth ride. 2. Handle bar slipping out of lock position when trying to open and close.(do not attempt while pregnant unless you want to ram the handle bar into your belly) 3. Opening and closing the stroller was not easy. Many of the Bee’s I tested would get stuck on one side and not fully open or close.(again do not attempt while pregnant unless you want to pull a muscle or throw your back out) Finally I ended up with the Cameleon and love it! I hope Bugaboo improves the Bee soon.

    Hi Again,

I’m back as I’m expecting baby #2 and i’m hoping to import the car seat adaptor from the US for our second baby. HOWEVER – i’m in the UK, and we have a Graco Autobaby car seat. Will this fit into the US Graco Snugride Bugaboo Bee car seat adaptor?? The way i understand it is that although Graco have to meet different safety criteria in the US vs Europe, the Snugride and the Autobaby are generall the same mould, but with different security features? Do you know if that’s correct?

Otherwise, we’ll have to fork out over 150GBP for a Maxi cosi cabriofix and maxi cosi adaptor – which is what we have available here in the UK. Not really a feasible option given the current economic conditions, and this is likely to be our last baby!

    Thanks for reading.

I had heard newer models of the bee have much thinner side seat cushions than the original model (and saw the thin ones on my friends pink Bee firsthand). When I contacted Bugaboo they confirmed this, but said there was not a specific release date in 2008 for the thinner wings, so some 2008 models have the thick ones and some have the thin. In your experience selling the Bee, and having seen all the 2008 manufacture dates, can you pinpoint when in 2008 the thin wings became standard? I’d like to order a Bee on-line, but don’t want to get the thick wings. I’ve also read the handle problem was fixed in later models too. Thank you!

Hi, this forum is absolutely fantastic!!!!

My question is my daughter is coming up 4 months old and at present am using the Mamas and Papas MPX Travel System chassis with carrycot which is nearly 6 years old (it was my son’s), however she does like to see more of what is going on around her. I am considering buying the Bee, we live in a village in North Yorkshire, England so its fairly rural round here, however I do mainly walk on paths, parks and grass. I am confused as to whether the Bee would be suitable for this, also I’m also concerned that she will only get till she is roughly 2 out of this, I don’t want to be having to buy another stroller and hope that this will suffice till she is at least 3.5.

Would I be better off considering the cameleon, space is an issue at home and car, but it just seems a shame that the carrycot wouldn’t be used much.

    Many thanks for any comments.

    Hi Janet-

The Bee is a great stroller but you are right seeing as it only holds up to 38 lbs. and may not last such a long lifetime with your daughter.  The Cameleon does seem like a better option for you but it is true that you would find no use in the bassinet.  It is a bit pricey but we love the Cameleon and seems to last up to 5 years for some kids!  You also may want to look at some other style all terrain types because these will work great outdoors.  Something like the Valco Tri-Mode or Phil and Teds.

Hi, great informative website. I am unfortunately waiting for my fourth bee replacement, due to handle problems, wheel problems, and more importantly brake problems. my first bee’s handles moved, even in locked position, especially when opening the carriage. the second bee developed a bump in the hind wheel. the third bee’s brakes failed. I wish i had know about all these issues before i bought the bee. while i know there are may be issues with first editions of products, these issues are unacceptable for the safety of the consumer. all of these bees had manufactur dates of between september 2007 to september 2008. Bee customer service tells me, as i wait for my fourth replacement, that the new bees have the brake issue fixed. my question is – how many brake issues with the Bee have gone un-reported? WD-40 does not work and should not be needed for a $500+ stroller. it seems that this fundamental operating issues should be addressed further by Bugaboo instead of just sending out replacement bees. hope this helps other consumers. thank you.

hi – i’ve just read through your blog which came uo in sesponse to my search “autobaby 2 car seats adapter for bugaboo”. unfortunately that seems to be the only question you did not answer… march 2009… is it true that all graco car seats will fit the cameleon adaptor?

    Hi Sarah-

All Graco models work with the Cameleon adapter.

    Hi,
I already have a bugaboo frog and love its ride but hate to put it on the car.I need something more practical and have been thinking about the bee or the maclaren quest.I´m a little woried about the bee seat. It isn´t too narow? it is confortable for the baby? How big it is folded? It is realy very easy to fold?

    Hi Mariana-

The Bee can hold up to 38 lbs while the Quest can hold up to 55 lbs. The Quest does have a more spacious seat and an umbrella style fold. The Bee is a bit more narrow but the seat is comfortable. It collapses really small and in one quick motion. Also, the Bee has full suspension which makes for a bit of a smoother ride than the Quest.

    Hi,
I just bought a bugaboo bee. Now I’m just wondering if it is still worth it to by a nest. My son is almost 4 months. Or is it better for me to spent that money on a footmuff and use something to steady his head?
    Thanks

    Hi Dorien-

You could go with either option. At his age both would be appropriate. I do however think the foot muff will last a longer lifetime as he grows!

just wondering why the nest is so much more appropriate for newborns? we just bought the bee but noticed that the seat does not recline to a flat position…does the nest provide a flatter surface which is recommended for newborns and proper spine development? I see that the extra padding is provided for the head.
    thanks

    Hi Nadia-

The Bee should recline almost completely flat. The nest is useful for newborns because it has an infant head hugger built in. Many doctors do recommend for infants to lay flat, so either directly in the seat or in the nest would work.

My daughter just turned one-Is it worth it to invest in the footmuff?

  45. JM says:

you mentioned a new bee with wider & height adjustable seat, any updates?

    Hi JM-

The Bee is going to have a slightly larger seat width (no longer has the big wings on the sides). The seat will also be able to adjust but I do not have the specifics just yet!

Hi… I live in the Republic of Panama and recently fell in love with the BEE on a trip to Spain, where I tried it out with the Maxi Cosi Cabrio-Fix (European model) and it´s adapter for the Bee. It worked perfectly. When I arrived back to Panama I ordered on internet the Bugaboo Bee, a Maxi Cosi car seat (ended up with a Mico) and the adapter of Maxi Cosi for Bugaboo. They all arrived and now I found out that the adapter is completely different from the one I saw in Spain. I tried to change the adapter but they tell me that the Maxi Cosi only goes with other models of Bugaboo, and that even if I get the European adapter (which I know that works) it will only work with EUROPEAN Maxi Cosi seats. I didn´t even know US and European models were different!!!!! Has anyone tried the European adapter on a Maxi Cosi Mico???????

I allready lost money and time with the adapter, and I don´t know what to do with the Maxi Cosi car seat. I was hopping to have a car seat that would adapt to the stroller.
I have someone in Spain who is flying to Panama and I don´t know if I will only lose more money by asking them to bring me the european adapter.

Will the european adapter for Maxi Cosi CabrioFix work with the US Maxi Cosi Mico?

    Help Please!!!
    Andres

Hi Andres- I wish I had some advice for you! The Maxi Cosi adapter that was orginally designed for the Bee here in the U.S. failed safety testing so it was never released. The new Bee Plus, which is due in the spring, will have an adapter bar for the Maxi Cosi Mico. Hope that helps! Erika

    hi Ali

thanks for being so patient and answering all the questions making this site fab! we re in new york and think that so far the bee might b best suited for our firstborn here in the city. however i am concerned about the size of the seat, dont feel assured that it can be used long enough before a toddler gets uncomfortable, do u think the bee plus addresses this and is it out yet? also in your opinion, which is the next best contender after the bee for public transport and busy city living?is it the maclaren quest? thx so much!!

    Hi Vivien-

Yes, the new Bee Plus addresses the seat size. It is a wider seat and the wings on the side of the current Bee that many parents didn’t like are gone. The canopy has also been redesigned and can be raised as your child grows taller. I was very impressed with the Bee Plus as it really fixed the complaints our parents had about the Bee.

In terms of another option other than the Bee or Quest that would be good for the city, I would definitely take a look at the Baby Jogger City Mini. It is a terrific lighterweight stroller with the best fold out there, a nice spacious seat and a sun canopy that puts a Maclaren canopy to shame. I am a huge fan and I think it would be a great choice for urban living. Hope that helps! Erika

Any news on the new bee? I wanted to buy the stroller for a vacation I am taking in 2 weeks. Is it worth waiting to buy the stroller for the new features and dealing with an old stroller I have for our trip? Also, I really like the dark khaki color, but am worried about it looking dirty after a short amount of time. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi Amy- The new Bee Plus is due to ship late Spring. Our Bugaboo Rep just came to visit us in Cleveland and brought a sample and it was amazing. I have to say, personally, I think it is worth the wait. Some of the biggest complaints about the Bee have been addressed in the Bee Plus. First, the seat is a bit bigger and wider and will fit a toddler much better. Second, the canopy has been redesigned and can also be raised up and down to accommodate taller kids. It also doesn’t block the side viewing area for kids like the current Bee does. Third, the side flaps or wings on the seat have been eliminated. Fourth, the way you reverse the seat has been completely updated and is much easier. Finally, overall I just really liked the new look of it. It just looks more comfortable for a child and overall it has been updated. I’ve always loved the push and ease of the current Bee so depending on what you stroll now, it may still be worth it for your trip. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the changes coming up before you take the plunge. Hope that helps! Erika

    Hello!

I’m looking to purchase the Bugaboo Bee +. My baby is coming in April. I already purchased the Peg Prego car seat ( I had a cameleon before). Now I’m finding out that the car seat I purchased will not work with the Bee + stroller…Can you tell me what do the car seat adapters look like for the Maxi Cosi car seat…is it the same as for the Graco car seat the big double bar funky looking thing?
Do you have to take the adapter (for Maxi Cosi or Graco) off every time you fold the stroller?
What is the name of the Maxi Cosi car seat the will work with the Bee plus.

Hi Patricia- Thanks for your post. We are hoping the new Bee Plus will be available late April/early May. While I have seen a prototype of the Bee Plus stroller and had a chance to play around with it (loved it!), we have not seen the Maxi Cosi adapter yet and I have no idea what it will look like. I’m assuming you will need to take both adapter bars off of the Bee Plus to fold it like you needed to with the Bee (but you may want to reach out to Bugaboo directly to see if they have a more concrete answer). The Maxi Cosi infant seat that is compatible with the Bee Plus is the Maxi Cosi Mico. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks- Erika

    Hi,
I am expecting my baby in early May and was just wondering has there been any update on the launch date of the new bee plus? And do you know if one can pre order it somewhere? I really want to get the new one and am prepared to wait after the baby is born to get the stroller, but would feel less anxious if I new the release date.

Hi Marta- Thanks for your post. We actually just received an update today on the new Bugaboo Bee Plus. It was supposed to launch in stores on April 1st but now Bugaboo is saying they hope to launch “in May”. They didn’t say when in May. We were told we would have more details about shipping dates in the next week or two. Retailer are not allowed to presell it until Bugaboo gives everyone the okay which they have not done yet. Feel free to check back with us in a couple of weeks for more details. Hope that helps- Erika
