I have the P&T E3 which I purchased in 2007 for my daughter, now 3. I have a doubles kit and a new little guy who's just now 6 months old. I like that the new doubles seat reclines and it appears to have better head support (my daughter's head rested uncomfortably on the upper bar). My question is two part, do you know if I can get the new doubles kit and use it with my old E3? And do you know if it is more comfortable (since I'm supposed to put the little one back there). I appreciate your assistance!

Hi Rebecca- Thanks for your post. Although it is not officially recommended by the distributor, the frame on the doubles kit of the e3 is identical to the frame on the doubles kit of the Sport Buggy. The only difference is that the Sport Buggy doubles kit has the zipper recline. We have had numerous parents buy the Sport Buggy doubles kit for their e3 stroller. The head support is the same as the e3 doubles kit- it just has a slight recline (maybe about an inch) to allow a smaller baby to get in the back sooner. Hope that helps- Erika

Hi There,

Great Website! I want to purchase a jogger/walker stroller. A stroller that can be used for both. I am torn between the Bob Revolution and Phil & Teds Sport Buggy. This is my first baby, with plans of having at least one more...I would prefer not to have to buy another expensive stroller down the road...any suggestions? I read Phil & Teds Sport Buggy is not really a jogging stroller...is this true? Would it work for jogging on flat cement? Thanks in advance. Maura

Hi Maura- Thanks for your post. This is an easy one! If you are planning on doing any jogging at all, the BOB Revolution is the right stroller for you. It is a great all around stroller, pushes like a dream and is really the only stroller we sell that can be used for real jogging. It has a complex shock and suspension system that gives parents a great push and babies a smooth ride. While it is nice to think ahead about not getting a second stroller down the road and getting one that can convert to a double (Phil & Teds), the Phil & Teds strollers are not recommended for jogging. Hope that helps! Erika

Hi
I am considering the sport buggy. If I get the double kit and the carseat adapter I will be able to attach my Chicco Keyfit carseat? Does the carseat go in back?

Thank you,
Nichole

Hi Nichole-

If you use the Sport with your Chicco it can only be used in Singles mode. It attaches on top of the stroller, not the back. The doubles kit only works if you take the infant out of the car seat and directly into the stroller. Hope this helps!

We have a P&T Sport V2, and I can't figure out how to lace the lower harness straps through the two half-moon shaped eyelets on either side of the seat. Is this what those eylets are for? If so, any tips would help me to get a little more convience out of this awesome stoller. The harness clips don't seem to fit throught the eyelet and I can't remove the clips. We have a double kit and have the same problem with it. It seems like this should be easy... Thanks--Kurt.

p.s. We used the newborn (7 week girl) for the first time today and she loved the newborn setting. She laid there looking around and then just grunted and felt asleep for 3 hours of Christamas shopping!! That made for one happy mammy and daddy. Tomorrow we will try out the toddler/newborn setting with our 6 month old cousin in tow.

Hi Kurt- Thanks for your post. I'm actually not really sure what eyelets you are talking about. I don't think they are involved with the harness but I would suggest contacting Phil & Teds directly with your question. You can call them at (800) 839-4985 or email them at usorders@philandteds.com. Hope that helps! Erika

It seems like no one has asked this, but I was wondering. We are considering the phil and ted's sport with the doubles kit and my husband is pretty tall, 6 ft, and takes long strides so he is concerned that his legs will hit against either the second seat or the main seat in the newborn position. It looks like the handlebar, although adjustable, comes right to where the seat reclines. My question is, do you think this is something that would be a concern? Should we look into a different stroller?

Hi Alex-

Good question! We have found that some of our taller parents do need to adjust their stride a bit once the doubles kit is attached on the back. If you keep the handlebar at the highest height, your husband should be fine. Also, if you have a Phil and Ted's dealer in your area, it may be good to test drive them!

Hi, sounds kind of lame, but i cannot open my stroller! twice been out and tried to use both times could not open it, so really i haven't been able to use it yet... help!
Hi Michelle-

The stroller is probably locked. It automatically locks when you fold it. There should be a gray button on the side of the stroller that you need to press to release it. If you cannot find it you can always give us or Phil and Teds a call and one if us can walk you through it!

Hello! I have 18 month old twins and one on the way, due April 7. When the baby is born, the twins will be just shy of 2. A woman at a children's clothing shop swore that Phil and Teds now had a side by side with a doubles attachment underneath to accommodate all 3 kids. I can't seem to find out if this is really true. If it is not true, what are my options without buying a triplet stroller. I want something good and willing to pay for it. I currently hate my side by side twin stroller. Thanks. -Karen

Hi Karen-

No, Phil and Ted's is not coming out with a triple stroller that I am aware of! Your best option (and we are huge fans of) is the Valco Twin Tri-Mode with Toddler Seat. The main seats recline completely flat, and the toddler seat sits on front and can hold up to 45 lbs. It is one of our best selling strollers and has a great push even though it can take so much weight!

Hello,

I also have an E3 Twin with the same saggy footrest. I contacted Phil and Ted's directly and was not happy with the response. The rep blamed the weight of my toddler but I told them that he was well within the weight limit of the stroller. They told me that he would have to keep his feet on the metal bar and not push on the material foot rest. They did send me another foot rest but weeks later it again started to sag and rub on the wheels. We are so frustrated by it and shocked that it seems to be a constant problem yet they have not done anything to correct it. This is an amazing stroller but needs a firmer footrest as the flimsy material one does not hold the weight of toddlers feet.

Hello! I have an e3 that I purchased for my daughter in 2007, and now I would like to get the doubles kit to use with her and my 4 month old son. Will the sport doubles kit work with the e3? I have found a few sites that still carry the e3 doubles kit, but it sounds like the sport has better features. Thanks! Mary

Hi Mary-

We cannot "technically" recommend using that seat with the E3 but I do know some customers that purchased the Sport Doubles Kit and it works!

Hi

I have a phil and teds twin (side by side) and I find that the footrest/well touches the front wheel I have a 3 year old and 1 year old that use it. I have to make him put his feet on the metal part so it doesnt 'brake' while I am pushing. A bit annoying. Is this something that happends? Its wearing the underneath part now...

Hi Sheree-

We do not carry the Phil and Teds twin so I am not as familiar with it. Your best bet is to contact Phil and Ted's directly : 1.800.839.4985
